Madame Tussauds in London

My sister, Laura, Malachi and I made our way to London last week.  We planned our trip around a visit to Highclere Castle, the filming location for Downton Abbey, but we fit in as much as we could in London as well.  The trip started with Laura and Malachi's first train rides, they happened to be on the Eurostar.  Somehow Laura also managed to get all of us upgraded to a very nice cabin for our 2.5 hour trip to London.  Malachi charmed the family from Mexico with their 3 daughters.

We got to London and checked into our hotel, the Hilton Paddington.  It was a treat from our parents and we thoroughly enjoyed our night there, including an afternoon tea.  Not the fanciest place for afternoon too, but it was tasty, reasonably priced, we didn't feel out of place bringing a baby in a stroller, and the location was just right.

After tea we set out for Madame Tussauds.  We made our trip on the Underground, not all stations are equal when it comes to stroller/handicap accessibility and Laura and I made our first of many trips up and down stairs carrying this stroller.
Here is Laura with Sherlock Holmes.

Our first stop was Ryan Gossling.

I was waiting for this girl to take a picture, until I realized she was a wax figure too.  This is a great spot to people watch.

Who was having a good time?  This girl!

John Wayne

Marilyn, when we got in this room there were 2 little boys sitting on the stage looking up her skirt.  It was precious.

Laura with Audrey

Shrek!

Alred Hitchcock was going to get Mal.

There was a line to stand with Kate and Wills, the Queen was there too.

Laura with Van Gogh.

Laura was not excited about having her picture taken with Justin Beiber.

Madame Tussauds was pricey, but fun.  The line outside was kind of long, but it moved quickly.  It was kind of confusing because you can't take strollers inside, so you have to take them to a certain doorway.  Once we got all of that figured out we only waited about 10 minutes to get in.  There were a lot more people, but they were not all people that we cared to take pictures with.  Some of the more popular people had lines to see them.
