All 3 Kiddos

I realized recently that I did not have a picture with all three of the kids. We tried to remedy that this morning before church. Bennett is in a stage where he does not like to sit down for pictures. I don't know why he objects to having his picture taken so much, but the screaming and crying and throwing himself around is pretty awful. This is as good as it got.

Our little guy all ready for church. I loved this outfit and the shoes were too much. They were a part of a gift from Jon's coworkers and they are my favorite thing right now.

Isn't this grin great? He is a handful right now, but he is so much fun.

Addie has been such a good listner lately. She loves to have her picture taken.

Saturday Morning Fun

This Saturday we had beautiful weather and no where to go so we let the kids play with their water table in the back yard. They love water, Addie was putting her arms in up to her elbows and Ben was dumping the water down the front of him. By the time they were done they were absolutely soaked. They were a mess, but they had so much fun it was worth it.

Daddy and Garrett keeping an eye on the big kids.

I think Garrett liked being outside too.

A doctor visit and a trip to the park.

This week I took Garrett to the doctor for his well baby check up. I can't believe he is 6 weeks old already. I had him all ready to go in his little man outfit. The first thing he did at the Doc's office was pee all over the place. The doctor said he looks great. He weighs 11 pounds 5 ounces which puts him just above the 50th %. He had to get 3 shots which just about broke my heart, he stuck out his little lip and cried so hard. He seemed really uncomfortable all afternoon too. He has been much better today thankfully.

Today it was almost 70 degrees so the kiddos and I made a picnic and headed to the park. Addie and Ben had to much fun playing and Garrett slept the whole time, it was a lot of fun.

Addie letting her puppy slide.

Ben crawling around.

Ben sassed a little girl, I am not sure why, but he was pointing at her and everything.

Ben smiling for the camera.

More smiles.

Addie taking a break and eating her sandwich.

This is the best picture I could get of Garrett in the Baby Bjorn.

Haircuts

Today we met Jon for lunch and then we took Ben for a haircut. He really wanted to get into the car, until it was time for him to sit down and then he wanted nothing to do with it. We gave him his Hamm and a sucker and the hair dresser was able to cut his hair. She did a very good job cutting the hair of a moving target.

Addie has never had her hair cut before and I don't think she had ever been to a salon before to see someone get their hair cut. While we were all there we decided that she needed to get her hair trimmed. She was not excited about the idea at first, she wants long hair like Rapunzel, but eventually she realized that we weren't going to cut all of her hair.

Ben had fun playing with the trains while he waited for Addie.

Addie's hair has gotten long, you just can't tell with all of the curls.

Our happy girl with her first hair cut.

She still has her beautiful curls.

I really wanted a picture of both the kids with their new hair cuts, but it was nap time and we had already used up all of our bribes for Bennett.

So I had to settle for a picutre of our beautiful little girl. She is getting so grown up and she was such a good listener today, I was so proud.

Our Three Kiddos

Now that we have three children it is fun to compare their baby pictures when they were younger. Here are all of the kids at just over 1 month.

Getting all dressed up

I love dressing my kids up, Garrett is starting to get big enough that I can put him in little man outfits and it is so much fun!

When I was getting the kids' clothes ready for Sunday morning I realized both boys had the same outfit. I didn't buy these on purpose, but it made me so happy to have the boys dressed alike.

This was Ben's first time to hold his brother all by himself. Jon and I were both ready to catch arrett when Ben decided he was done, but Ben did a really good job.

Our two little men.

Addie loves her little brother and will hold him any chance she gets.

She is such a little momma, it is so cute.

I think this picture is hilarious with Ben working on his computer.
I hope you all had a great weekend!

I Love This

We are enjoying a lazy Saturday morning around here. Jon has been so busy the last couple of weeks with his guard duty and work that he hasn't gotten much time with Garrett. I came upstairs and found them taking a little nap together.

Four Weeks

It has been a busy 4 weeks with all of the holidays and adjusting to our family of 5

Here is our little man. I have never had a newborn in the winter and I have been so nervous about him getting sick. Two nights ago I noticed he was a little stuffy so the next morning I called the doctor. She had an opening that day so I went ahead and took him in. She said he looked great and he was probably just stuffy because of the dry air in the house from the heat. I feel like a first time mom with Garrett, there are just enough things that are different this time around.
We did get a chance to weigh our little chunk, he is almost 10 pounds. He is not quite as big as Ben at this age, but he is definitely a healthy little man.

Bennett was playing in the house while I took some pictures of Garrett and this is what I found him doing when I was done.

Then I gave Ben a breakfast bar for a snack and he put the whole thing in his mouth. I was afraid he wasn't going to like the new flavor I got, but I don't have to worry about that.

Here is my little princess watching a movie in my room. She is still wearing her pajamas after nap time, it has been one of those lazy days at home and it has been so much fun.

The Last Week

The last week has been a learning experience for me. I have been learning how to take care of a newborn again, how to juggle 3 kids that really want my attention and don't understand why they can't have it now, and how to function with out as much sleep as I would like. We have been doing well, at least as well as I expected. Addie and Ben made it to school both days, they were a little late, but not too bad.
These pictures are from our video camera, our nice camera was in the shop and I was going through withdrawls not having a camera to take pictures of these kiddos. They change so much right now I hate missing moments.
Garrett made his first Sunday at church, he looked so handsome in his outfit from Uncle James and Aunt Shana, I love the little man shoes.

This is one of my favorite outfits on Addie.

I love this outfit on Ben, he looks so grown up, it just made laugh when he had it
on.

Bennett got this backpack for Christmas and he loves it. He loves anything with Buzz and Woody on it. He gets so excited when he sees his backpack he wants to wear it. He looks so grown up walking with his liitle backpack.

Now that I have my camera back I hope to post a lot more pictures of the kiddos. Garrett has already changed so much, his face is filling out and his face is getting so much more expression in it. I love watching their little personalities come through.

Here is our little guy in a hedgehog outfit, such a cutie.

All three kiddos, these pictures are hard to get. Ben is so rough with Garrett that I don't dare put him close together for a picture. Addie adores Garrett and loves to hug him and hold him and she always has to check on him.

Jon is doing his last Guard duty weekend this weekend. He didn't get to see the kids at all last night so they were so excited to see him this evening.

My Mom was a Busy Bee

We were very lucky that my mom was able to come and spend a month with us while we were waiting for Garrett to come and then for his first 2 weeks. While she was here she worked on several projects for us.
Here are the curtains that my mom made for Addie's room. They are pieced together with a curtain that I had bought and fabric that I had in my apartment in college.

She also found the ruffled bedskirt that is so cute.

More of Addie's room.

Here is the master piece that are Garrett's curtains. I needed curtains in this room because it is so bright during the afternoon and I wanted our little guy to be able to take nice long naps. She made the cornice to that we still have the beautiful window, but the blackout curtains cover everything when they are closed.

She also made the coordinating bed skirt.

This is a headboard that I made for the room. There is a crib in this room too, but we just didn't get a picture of it.

These are Ben's curtains. She didn't make them this trip, but she did make them. They are lined with black out lining too and I don't know what we would do with out them. The quilt was Ben's Christmas present from Nana, my mom's mom. It has the same cowboy print from Ben's curtains on the back and it is so cute. My Aunt Wendy also worked on the quilt, Nana made quite a few quilts this year for Christmas. There are some very talented women in our family.

Here is Addie with her quilt, so cute. She loves blankets so this was great for her. Jon and I got a beautiful quilt, but I will post a picture of ours once I have it properly displayed.

The last project we did was a joint effort of my mom and dad and Jon and the kids tried their hardest to help. Our pantry is a good size, but the shelves did not utilize all of the space that we had. To fix this we ripped out part of the existing shelves and my Dad and Jon built shelves that went on each side of the pantry that went from floor to ceiling. They are amazing. They hold so much food and it is easy to find.

Ben really wanted to help GeeGee with his project.

My mom caulked all the way around every shelf after they went in. It was almost time for my family to head back to Florida and the shelves hadn't been painted yet. My mom woke up at 3:30 and put two coats of paint on the shelves for me.

I don't think the shelves would have gotten done any other way and she knew it.

Here is a picture of my newly remodeled, fully stocked pantry. I love that I can see exactly what I have and exactly what I need. We have come a long way from our first house in Colorado that had no pantry and I had to store our canned goods in the garage.

I feel so lucky to have so many talented people in my life that help to make life a little bit easier in this crazy season of our lives.
