Play Date Fun

On Tuesday, while Addie was at school, Ben and I went to a friend's house to play. Adalee, Eloise, and Ben all had a great time playing on the floor. Adalee's older brother Nick was there too, but he was busy running around and I didn't get a picture of him. It was a nice chance to visit with friends.

We got to go to open gym time this week with some of our friends from church. It was so much fun. Addie remembered a lot of the equipment from her gymnastics classes in Colorado. I could see how much Addie has grown since then. I had a hard time getting pictures of her because she was running around so quickly.
Ben had a great time with his little friend Brayden. They are the same age and had so much fun staring at each other.

Our little monkey on the bars.

Addie's new tutu.

Even Jon and I got to have a fun evening with some friends. Michael and Margaret are friends from church and they know how to play one of our favorite games, Deutsch Blitz. We were able to go to their house for dinner and then play cards. It was so much fun. Michael and Margaret were excellent players, Jon and I are going to have to practice before we play again.
It was a busy week, but so much fun.

Music Man

Bennett is loving the piano. He loves hitting the keys and turning the pages. It is so much fun to watch him.

A New Year

Tonight I went for a run. It was my first real run since Ben was born. I didn't have to push a stroller, or stop and pick up a dropped toy or blanket. It was so nice to get back out on the road. I know I am going to feel it tomorrow, but it was worth it tonight.
This is what I came home to. Two clean kiddos cuddling with their awesome Daddy. I am one lucky lady.

He I am post run, I know it is not pretty, but it is my attempt to get back to physical fitness. We'll see how it goes.

Big Sister Fun

Addie and Bennett have been so cute together lately. When Addie hears Bennett wake up she asks if she can go in and get him. She climbs up in his crib with him and unzips his sleep sack. Bennett always has a big smile for his big sister. The other day I put Ben down on Addie's bed and this is what I came back to.

I think Ben was having a good time.

I added the hat.

For Chirstmas Bennett got a Praise Baby DVD from his Grandma and Poppa. We put it in for the first time today and he loved it. He was tired, but I was trying to keep him up for a little bit longer. He sat and watched the screen and listened to the music and was such a happy boy. It was so sweet. Addie enjoyed it for a little while too. I like listening to the music too.

Ben has never been allowed to watch tv before so he was pretty enthralled with the whole thing.

A Happy Saturday

Go Cowboys!!! Since Daddy's Miami Dolphins are not in the play offs, we are supporting GeeGee's Dallas Cowboys. Ben loves watching football, even though he is not allowed to watch tv. He always turns around and watches when football is on. It makes his Daddy very proud.

Now that Ben is sitting up by himself he has moved up to the big bath tub with Addie. Ben loves the water and starts splashing as soon as he hits the water. Addie thinks that since Ben is splashing that she can too. I was soaked by the time they were both clean. It was worth it to see them having so much fun.
After they were both clean I really wanted to get a picture of them in these adorable jammies. My mom Nannie, got these jammies for them for Christmas time. I love these pajamas on them. Ben was ready for bed though and would not give me his usual happy smile.

Arctic Blast

Here in Houston everyone has been talking about the arctic blast that is coming in this weekend. We will be reaching record lows over the next couple of days, all the way down to 19! I used the opportunity to break out some of our cold weather gear that I bought in Colorado last year.
All this so we could go to a play date at Chick Fil A.
It is so much fun to see the babies interact now that they are getting older. Little Blythe was crawling all over Ben. She is a couple of months older than Ben, but he outweighs her by several pounds. I am so glad he is still stationary, but I don't think it will be too long before he takes off. He was watching his new friend move around. They had so much fun laughing at each other. It was definitely worth braving the cold to see our friends.

Little Man is 7 Months

Bennett is now 7 months old. He was a little trooper during our Christmas adventure. He has his first tooth that came through the day after Christmas. He is sitting up by himself and eating all kinds of yummy foods like sweet potatoes, carrots, green bean, peas, bananas and mango. We tried avocado, but he wanted nothing to do with, gagging on it in the middle of Chick Fil A. We love our little man so much.

Welcome to our new blog.

I will now be posting on this blog. This format should make it easier for people to comment, just bear with me while I learn the new system. I will continue to post pictures, but I am giving my camera a break after our trip to Florida. I hope you are all having a Happy New Year so far.
